I have learned much about sailing during many three month voyages taken on a 64 foot yacht designed and built my my husband. He could repair anything that broke down. We've sailed the east coast of the USA from Nove Scotia to the Bahamas and from the islands off Spain past the Greek Islands to Turkey and all places in between with only family and friends on board.

 A spinnaker is a  large three-cornered sail, typically bulging when filled with wind.  It's set forward of the mainsail of a yacht while running before a fresh breeze. The sails are often a blaze with colors that dazzle in the sunlight.

Writing this was my way to revisit those adventurous days filled with discovery.

I always had my small harp on board , a set of whistles and a flute. Playing music was always a part of the adventure.

This is written and being played on my computer with a program called Sibelius. It allows me to write by ear which is how I have learned to play music all my life. Using this program is very intuitive and much like learning to play a new instrument,
