A while back a good friend lost a treasured pet. I attempted to bring comfort with a poem. This is the last verse which I offer as a way to show the birth of this song. The words that stayed with me going around in my brain were the ones "Soaking in the tub of love not lost" On The one hand it sounds a bit strange and on the other it seems perfect.

When Life's stresses become Too Great
I rush back home to keep my Date
into a place where I'm never late
Soaking in a hot tub is sublime
Just like heaven when all is well.
In my life I have loved that time
Peace pervades while in that spell.
All I've lost doesn't feel so bad,
No petty problem that I can't mend,
If I've been slighted well I'm not mad
When I'm in a hot tub, problems end.
Once while soaking, like in a dream,
Far beyond this reality,
From a heavenly realm in a golden gleam,
The ones I loved came back to me.
I was floating in my tub where Love's not lost,
Where gentle waves are never tossed,
Where calm flat waters rest serene,
I saw the ones who are never seen.
Both Trees and Sky have framed the light
That draws forth memories clearly.
I felt the thrill of pure delight as
I began to see them nearly.
The reflection suddedly trembles now
I feel the swell of remembered bliss.
Those I loved were there and alive
Their touch is something I have have missed.
Perhaps this was heaven where I met them all.
As their forms passed, I smiled and glanced.

In the tub where the club of the
Never Lost Loves all Danced.
Even long after it still seems real
Meeting friends and Family too.
Awake or dreaming can seem the same
When every prayer I have comes true.
