My deep, sincere thanks to Rusty who's talent and empathy,
kindness and patience gave life to my lyrics by adding his guitar tracks to play my melody and a vocal that lifts the energy. Thanks Rusty!
After rewriting it many time, he convinced me
that the original way was the best one.
A note to all you friends who have made reviews.
I am so very grateful to each of you for your support
and comments.
Many Thanks.

Stone Against Stone
Such an effort to speak I can't say a word
The essential me was never heard
All that I said struck deep as a knife.
My search for consensus left only strife
I can remember the years when he
Could talk things over peacefully
With love in the eyes and love in the tone
Now I only feel all alone.
Trying to explain caused more pain.
Words can't get through when thrown back again
Do what, walk away and leave it alone
remaining between us heavy as stone.
Stone against stone stacked in piles
Of misunderstanding our different styles
He missed both the meaning and the intent
Believing that only the worst was meant.
Instrumental Break
Why can't we resolve things things ending in laughter
With hugging and kissing following after ?
Must ours grow heavier through the years
Creating more distance and unshed tears.
Until one day a stranger's eyes
Will cross the distance where lost love lies.
If staying means living without love for two
Then life will be better without you.
