This song was fun for me because I had a chance to use my vintage 1974 Fender Twin Reverb for all the guitar parts.  It was recorded and mixed entirely on my Akai DPS24. 

     Lyrically, "Mockingbird" deals with the emotional fallout from heartbreak or other tragedy in our lives.  Sometimes it can be tempting to stay in the shadows and not experience life after we've been burned one too many times.  The song is about a person's struggle to overcome those fears.  Hope you enjoy!
