THIS is:
- the first song I wrote on guitar (bass)
- first try at a rock song
-- my first lame try at a 'commercial hook' (- what words in rock - or pickup line in general - are more overused than "Hey" and "Baby" --LOL -- I picked on-purpose as silly)
Forgive the goofy RockBand production. I couldn't program much, and couldn't actually PLAY anything, so the weird bg vox echoes were the best I could come up with in 2006/7.
Anyway. I've found my "rock voice" since I did this and could kick it a lot better these days. Seeking a better demo -- if any of you guitar guys like it enough to give it a shot?? A bit funk, a bit rock, whatever.
I sound like I have a cold. And I'm too close to the mike. What was I thinking.
Anyway.......... IF there are any takers... the chorus is supposed to shift into 6/8 -- then back to 4/4 on the verse -- which was impossible to program.
I don't have the lyrics typed up - boo.
Goes like:
Hey baby
Oooh what's goin on
Hey baby
Listen to my song
You & me are goin strong
Cuz' you're hotter than the sun
Cooler than the moon
Got it goin on
Every afternoon
Something kinda dumb like that ;-p
OK to take potshots at this one. Can you tell I'm not attached?!
EDIT: Thank you for all your warm comments on this one! I truly thought it was pretty stupid, but maybe it's commercial enough to be worth a harder look. :-)
