(I think that's everyone)
Be'in pulled through a hole, a knot in the tree
Driving me mad
Making me crazy
Flattened, crushed by the weight of my thoughts
I gotta get away
I gotta get out of here
Oh, but I hear that still small voice
Whispering to me
Break those chains that bind and trap
And place the weight on Me
Sand castles I've built to close to the waves
Melt in the sun
Disappear in the day
Night shadows, crawl'n on my wall
I wanna go home
I wanna go home
Yes, but I hear Your still small voice
Soft, so loud to me
Faith, not fear will set you free
Place the yoke on Me
Plans, plan to much
I never plan enough
Making me crazy
Dreams, just lees in my glass of wine
Hurt'n my head
Oh I'm go'in crazy
Oh, but I hear your loving voice
Give it all to me
Rest beside the flowing stream
Set your gaze on Me
Just gaze on Me
Money, gotta have a little,
Better have a lot
Making me crazy
Sell your body to save the flesh
I gotta go to work
Oh I wanna go home
Yeah, but Your voice is clearer now
Calling out to me
Hear the angels singing out
Rejoice He's set you free!
Set me free
Love, can't love enough
Gotta love more
Kind a crazy,
My kind of crazy
My kind of crazy
My kind of crazy

studio401 2008-04-12 | Great Song my friend. Glad to see you on SongRamp. Looking forward to hearing more of your material. By the way,, I agree with the bass player. He's way too old, and a real pain to work with in the studio. All he want's to do is put a flanged banjo in all your songs. |
angelamarie777 2008-04-12 | What a wonderful song, Eric. Your music is always a joy to listen to. Great sound and spectacular vocals! This is a definite favorite for me! |

PamelaElaine 2008-05-23 | Another fine production by all. You remind me of Phil Collins. But, you are you and we are lucky to have your gift of songs shared with us here on the ramp. Isn't it interesting how we come up with our ideas for a song? Time traveling is a good time to write. The steady rhythm fit your story line nicely. Enjoyed my listen. Pamela |

JoeWilsonKolb 2008-09-10 | Nice moonlight effects...timelessly terrific. Joe |
donnavalentine 2008-09-11 | Another winner. Decidedly CSN&Y feel to this piece. Love the drums on this- nice push pull. Actually, I feel Buffalo Springfield, too. Is that Richie Furay singing? :-) :-) I like the lyric- but it goes back and forth and I don't know what perspective it is from phrase to phrase. The listener doesn't "hear" the capital M in me, so it's confusing. I think if the whole song were from God Almighty's perspective it would be stronger. Feels like you're going through the hole of the knot in the tree It's driving you mad and making you crazy Flattened, crushed by the weight of your thoughts You want to get away- way out of here Can you hear My still small voice Whispering to you? Break those chains that bind and trap And place the weight on Me Now, I realize that doesn't rhyme- but I wanted to show you what I mean. (It's your job to make it rhyme! lol!!) Just a beautiful song! |
LarryGalletta 2008-10-18 | This is beautiful. So nicely done - the instrumentation and arrangement really set the right mood to back the lyrical content. Percussion is particularly nice. -Larry |
benkrahne 2008-10-31 | Real nice, great production, sounds great |
Tburd54 2008-11-20 | Really fine song Eric..all angles superbly constructed! I drive one way each day an hour to teach..could feel my angst in your lyrics...what we are willing to do for a living eh? loved the way you kept returning to what was important each time...yet with a new angle! (palce the weight on me, yoke on me, set your gaze on me, rejoice in me a fine sermon indeed..in such a beautiful package! Terry |
cathead77 2008-11-21 | Great sounding recording. The harmonies are wonderful. Cool song. |
