This is a song I wrote a few years ago, when GOD was waking me every night at 2:22AM....It eventually led to my moving from CA to CO...long story...P.S. Sorry it's a bit lengthy. Eric Welsch - Acoustic and Vocals Nate Jones - Acoustic and Electric Guitars Jon Collins - Drums and Percussion Braden McDonald - Keyboards Tim Frazier - Bass and Vocals Kelly Champlin - Violin Chet Riesdorph - Vocals Special thanks to Richard Sadowski at Studio 401 Well it's 2:22, and Your hand gently wakes me from sleep A new day not distant, my steps make the floor gently creak So I make my way down stairs, grab my guitar, the sound breaks the  silence of the night. Well this couch is so familiar at this hour of night I can say. And the shadows on the walls dance in time with the notes as I play A chorus of angels, join in the song, sweet incense rising to You Lord Well the touch of Your presence brings a warmth to the chill of the night And my spirit longs to join You and away from my body takes flight In the flesh or the spirit, I don't really know  All I can do is surrender to my God I surrender (repeat) Oh Jah (repeat) Wells it's 5:00 in the morning the sun will be coming up soon.

Very nice Eric....first of all, I LOVE the quality of your voice. Harmonies are so beautiful. This builds so nicely. I love the powerful buildup of the vocals. That guitar work is so nice. Beautiful work and I believe I detect a wonderful 12 string in there somewhere. Nice work on the lyrics. Easy to see this is a very personal song to you....very well written....this was just a feast for the ears all the way through.....a fav for sure......Skipp

Gorgeous piece! It's peaceful and emotive. You guys REALLY pay attention to detail in the studio and I want you to know THIS girl sees that and really appreciates it! :-) Typically, my comments include ways to make a song more commercial- I just can't help it, I think in those terms. But this one is one of those songs that is what it is and I wouldn't change a thing. It's a spirit-filled 6+ minutes of worshipful music that reveals your heart and you made me feel it with you! Nicely done.

Very lovely and nice playing. Our church was reading Acts 4:23-31 every morning as a whole. We would set our alarms for 4:30am to read these verses and pray each morning. We did this for a couple of weeks and then one morning a 5.1 earthquake occurred and we were right over the center...talk about the believers prayer!
