I found these words hidden away on my computer from a couple of years ago. I went under instrumental songs here on the ramp and found a tune by Ed Dunn titled Country Fried. I hammered around with the words and fit them as best I could to his fine music. This is suppose to be a funny songbut it is probably more of a reality than anything.

Christmas day is finally over.....and the tree is coming down


The people that stayed at my house....are on their way back out of town


Got a shirt Ill never wear......some Jack Daniels hundred proof


All that tavern ham Ive eaten...sent my blood pressure through the roof


Well my wifes at the mall......with gifts shes taking back


Me Im lying in my recliner......munching on leftover snacks


I have bowl games on my TV......theres thirty four of them in all


My wife hasnt made it home yet....shes getting special deals at the mall


She told me while shes gone......to take the decorations down


I havent even gotten started......yea my team scored another touchdown


I dont know whats the rush......just a few lights here and there


My neighbors stay up year round....Im sure they really wont even care


Credit cards are at the max......all my money has gone away


That doesnt worry me at all......Ill get them paid off by turkey day


I can pocket a little money......returning gifts Ill never use


And all the leftover aluminum cans......Ill recycle for big bucks too


But what about the ten pounds......Ive now added to my hips


Should have been more selective......with the food that crossed my lips


Ill have to join a health club......theres more money down the drain


Maybe Ill be on the biggest loser...I hope I lose more weight than I gain


Another Christmas in the past......is this what its all about


Spending every single red penny......shopping for gifts and freaking out


Wifes coming through the door......guess Ill have to face her wrath


Still lying in my old recliner......thinking about this Christmas aftermath
