Calvary Set Me Free
Down through the ages..... men have been enslaved
Some never freed from shackles..... til they were laid in the grave
But if they knew the Savior..... the one who died at Calvary
They may have known earthly bondage..... but their soul was set free
Chorus
Calvary it sets men free
From the moment they first believe
Sin’s shackles fell from me that day
When Jesus took my sin away
He was bound and beaten just like a slave
Then nailed to a rugged cross and laid in the grave
But the grave could not hold him he arose on day three
Now I’m no longer a slave to sin Calvary set me free
In this great country..... the land of the free
Men are still in bondage..... if they have never believed
But when they meet the Master....gone are sin’s chains of slavery
Now we have this great freedom..... all because of Calvary
Chorus
Tag At End
No the grave could not hold him Christ arose on day three
I’m no longer a slave to sin Calvary set me free
