When I visit schools for poetry programs, I enjoy speaking with students about different patterns of rhyme and meter in poems, along with specific types of poems. Here we have three of my limericks. Once again, I'm helped out by Teecee and Alex Stangl.
Three Limericks
Words and spoken vocal by Jeff Mondak

Fred
There once was a monster named Fred
With eyes on each side of his head
He said with a grin
"I've got to stay thin
"So I can squeeze under your bed"
Dolores the Dragon
Dolores the Dragon plays drums
And has a guitar that she strums
But once in our choir
She started a fire
Now rather than singing, she hums
The Vampire’s Dilemma
The vampire explained her complaint
Her problem was tragic, yet quaint
She’d fly out at night
To grab a quick bite
But when she saw blood, she would faint
