I'll tell you a story 'bout a rockabilly band

                I played in
   
   It was me and a buddy named Bo Mckee
       
      and one of our drummer friends

   the drummer was a real skirt-chaser
      
          and that's where the trouble begins
          
  the night one summer when our dumb drummer
    
     got punched out at the Dew Drop Inn

    what a mess he got us in

the whole dang town turned out
  
   to watch our drummer get get his lights punched out

we were pickin' em up and layin' em down
 
   I thought we'd have to fight the whole damn town

   The Dew Drop Inn was a honky tonk 
          
       in the middle of a little town
   
  the only place the local yocals
           
     could drink up and party down

the drummer blew a kiss to the owner's wife
                 
    and she blew one back at him
