Being Memorial Day weekend I have a song that brings memory to fallen soldiers from the Viet Nam era.  I saw a documentary in TV about a girl whose Mother and Father were married just a month before he was sent to Viet Nam. He never returned so she never knew him except from the stories her Mother would tell her.  Two weeks later I saw an old Bruce Willis movie entitled "In Country" with a very similar story.  The movie ended with the daughter of the fallen soldier, his mother (her grandmother) and Bruce Willis (playing the part of a verteran also and the brother of the girls mother) all at the Wall in Washington D.C. .    It was the most moving scene I have watched in a movie for quite some time.  When the movie was over, and with tears streaming down my face, I picked up my guitar and this song was the result.  I have to tell you that I made some structure mistakes with this song, for one, I waited until the end for the big moment with the verse.  Unfortunately you have to listen to the entirety to catch the meaning of the song.  Since this song was written and recorded I have learned the pro's try to get to the point quickly as not to loose the listener.  I hope you can make it through to the end, and I hope it is worth it for you as a listener.  I should also mention that Kristy sings this song in third person as the girl whose father she never met.
