My Dad, Art Mondak, showed me some lyrics he worked up for a song. His page is dated March 5, 1954--when my Dad was 25, and still a few years before he married my Mom. My Dad is an excellent piano player (it apparently skips a generation, because my sons play well, too). My Dad was the youngest kid in his family, and a couple of his older brothers fronted a swing band in Cleveland in the 1930s. Anyhow, recently I had the idea of getting the song finished as a Christmas present for my Dad. So, I added a little to the lyrics, and asked Bob if he could make a song of it. Which he did, on very short notice, and in incredibly charming fashion.  One Drink More  Original lyrics (1954) by Art Mondak Additional lyrics (2009) by Jeff Mondak Music and Performance by Bob Pompei  Tomorrow there’s marriage in store To the woman I truly adore Let’s toast to my dear With whiskey and beerc’mon boys, just one drink more
