It's been awhile since I posted a new one, so what better to post than the Perfect Song, lol!  Peg posted a poem in the forums that she had written after she woke up and couldn't remember the "Perfect Song" that was in her head as she drifted off to sleep. I sort of kidnapped it, shuffled some words a bit and added a chorus and a melody, and Dale took it from there.  Let us know what you think :)

I wrote the perfect lyrics laying in bed last night

No pen or paper, repeated it till it was right.

At last I've got it! I wrote the perfect song!

When I wake in the mornin' I'll sing it all day long.


But, was it La de da de da

Or Yodelady hoo?

Or was it singin' the Blues?

As morning sun crept in my words had been set free

Though my brain is creative it has a pitiful memory.

Dang, I lost it! I wrote the perfect song,

But I woke up without it, my little song is all gone.
