I haven't put something up for a while and was going through some old stuff.  I kind of liked ambience of this and must have been a wee bit maudlin at the time!!  It was all put together in about one go, if I remember right.

Nothin’ Changes

Just passing by your place again
Standin’ in the rain, holding my collar
My face to the wind, masking the pain
Look at me, nothin’ changes, it’s all just the same

Hey, as you that said the other night
Life will throw a few stones at us all
Just learn to avoid standin’ too close to the light
If you’re lucky, you’ll get safely through the night.

Look at me, nothin’ changes
It’s just a blank
Look at the shifting sand that flows
Leaving me stranded on the bank
Letting real life sail slowly by
Please take me with you
… look at me beggin’
And I don’t know why

You gave me enough rope to hang myself
Like a sad full, I helped you pull in the slack
