It’s Thunder Again
I look at you with wonder
I look at you with pain
I look at you smile at nothin’
In the distance it looks like rain
I follow in your footsteps
I follow your every sign
I follow your conversation
And yet I know I’m blind
I first saw you five minutes before
But already I’ve written our history
We haven’t even spoken a word
But our past is shrouded in mystery
You will leave this place before
I can show you this wonderful fantasy
But your ship lies in the distance
This is just a pause on your way
Maybe if you were delayed
I’d find the courage through the pain
Stay one more day
In the distance it looks like rain
You remind me of a girl once
You remind me of that day
You remind of my limitations
And for this you went away
I told you when the Thunder came
I told you when I was weak
I told you my soul would yearn
But the words I could not speak
So now I wander this old port town
And see you in other faces
But I cannot reach out to touch or blame
But lose my soul in places…….
I know, it's thunder again
So all I do is look at strangers
Passing through, I cannot lose….
I look at you with wonder
I look at you with pain
I look at you smile at nothin’
In the distance it looks like rain
In the distance it looks like rain
