Music & Lyrics by Lee James McAboy and Sheila Kaufman
One little snowflake is falling
followed by two and then three.
One little snowflake comes lightly down,
so peaceful and lovely to see.
Then snow fills the sky
and covers the rooftops
and settles on my windowsill.
Steam from my cup
is frosting the window.
Jack Frost magic still gives me a thrill
on a winter holiday.
Winter has come to the valley,
Something that I've waited for.
Now all I see is a blanket of snow,
And soon there will be even more.
I step out on the porch
And look up to the sky
And the snowflakes feel fresh on my face.
Fluttering down
And covering the mountains
Like a sampler of Venetian lace,
like a coverlet of lace.
The silence of snow
At the breaking of day
Is a stillness that feels so sublime
That it gives the heart hope
That a world filled with peace
Is not just for songs and for rhyme,
but could happen any time.
Bells Instrumental ?
Winter has come to the valley,
Something that I've waited for.
Now all I see is a blanket of snow,
And soon there will be even more.
As children awake
There are smiles on their faces,
And they race to get ready to play.
Very soon all I see are angels and snowmen
Like a card that's sent to me to say,
Have a Happy Holiday.
