"Alana's Eyes" was my first song posted on Songramp, posted on the bobbysgarage page in November, 2004. It also is my first lyric turned into a song.

The Beslan school siege began on September 1, 2004. Chechen terrorists took 1,200 people, many school students, hostage. The siege ended violently a few days later, with over 300 hostages killed, including nearly 200 children.

I wrote this lyric after reading a news account about one young mother's personal tragedy at Beslan.
