Song Post 24
Here is another song from my “2007 Collection." It was written in the summer of 2007 and rested uncomfortably in a sketchbook until it was recorded in the summer of 2012 on my Boss BR-900. The last chorus was changed when it became clear love would never be enough. I play all of the instruments- guitars, bass and I sing all the vocals.
Thanks so much for taking the time to listen… Please leave a comment… Peace, Trent

She said, “Give me a reason so I can walk all alone.”
I can give you a million reasons why you should follow me home.
She said, “If love doesn’t have to hurt why do I look for the pain?”
Well if you’re looking for answers to questions I can’t begin to explain.
She said, “I love you, I love you.” Well is that gonna be enough for you
then I said, I love you, I love you too.
She said, “Could we weather the slide down a slippery slope?”
Well everybody knows what they have when it comes down to hope.
She said, “Everything you’ve already said is all I wanted to hear.”
Well if you trust with your eyes and your heart then you’ll have nothing to fear.
She said, “I love you, I love you.” Well is that gonna be enough for you?
Then I said, I love you, I love you too.
You said everything I knew to be true.
You felt everything and didn’t follow through.
Trust your affection and change your direction
and come home.
Still, I love you, I love you- is that ever gonna be enough for you?
Yeah, I love you, I love you too.

Still, “I love you, I love you.” guess that’s never gonna be enough for you
Yeah, I love you, I love you too.
