The 8:09 Ain't Gonna Wait For Me By Mo Debbage (c)2001 MoJan

One of the 1st songs I recorded on my (then) brand new home 8 track studio back in 2001. DUnno why, but I woke up singing it this morning and decided to seek out the recording and share it. Basically it's about the drudgery of everyday life. I actually wrote this way back in 1996 when I was back in the UK and things were a bit stressful with work. Anyhoo, you'll get the idea.

V1 Lying in the dark, Waiting for the Sun, To come up and steal my night away. Tossin' and Turnin' all night long The birds outside are singing the same old song  C Then I wake up and pull my trousers on Wash my face and begin to run 'cause the 8:09 ain't gonna wait for me Another day of life ahead, then it's home from work and it's back to bed I guess it's just the way it's gotta be

V2 I'm supposed to be bright, Supposed to be keen There's gotta be something in between that I'm missin' So stop the night 'cause I wanna get off, Gotta have a word with the holy boss If he'll listen
