Wrote this one from the perspective of my father who just died a couple days ago. If he was able to speak I think he would have told us these things in the hospital. The four things he loved the most were family, traveling, fishing and football and this has 'em. He would have got a chuckle out of this one I think. Originally was going to be a bluegrass tune with banjo and all but it turned out being some spazzy something or other.
Lyrics:
Ive been around this world 6 or 7 times
And never get bored with things i see
When the time has come to tell
Adios and faretheewell
Ill be up there in the sky in first class seats
Im not afraid to die
Im not afraid to die
I have alot to see in this neverending sky
Wonderlust and me
We have all eternity
Keep your head up high
Cause im not afraid to die
Since i was a boy
Two things brought me joy
Ive been hunting and fishing all my life
Just me and my soul
And my fishing pole
I will catch so much fish
And this time i wont have to lie
Im not afraid to die
Im not afraid to die
I have alot to see in this neverending sky
Dont hang your head low
When its my time to go
Keep your head up high
Cause im not afraid to die
7 days a week
From the sidelines I will peek
No more watching from the stands far away
Eating jellybeans
While i watch my team
Win a victory everyday
Im not afraid to die
Im not afraid to die
I have alot to see in this neverending sky
No tears in your eyes
Dont sob and dont cry
Keep your head up high
Cause im not afraid to die
My family and friends
I will see them all again
Goodbye to others Ill leave behind
When you come it wont take long
To find me sleeping by a pond
Just listen for me snoring in the sky
Im not afraid to die
Im not afraid to die
I have alot to see in this neverending sky
Ill enjoy the ride
On the other side
Keep your head up high
Cause im not afraid to die
