Hi Rampers
Thanks for listening to Beach Strut.
A while back I had asked Pam Bowen if she had any lyrics I could work with and she directed me to this lyric. I told her that I'd like to make some changes and it would really be a great song for a woman to sing. So I'm posting the either way lyric(this version where I'm speaking singing to a man) and if any of our wonderful Ramp ladys would like to cover the ladys version let me or Pam know. My feeling on this version the BPMs are too slow so if we get a taker I'll probably redo at a little quicker tempo. THANKS EVERYONE
VERSE ONE
Broken hearted stories may be your come on, boy
But girls today don't fall for that old ploy
Maybe you ain't too proud to wallow in the dust
But they (I) don't like that kind of wimpy stuff
CHORUS
STOP WHININ' , STOP CRYIN' , STOP WRINGING YOUR HANDS
GROW YOURSELF A BACKBONE, STAND UP LIKE A MAN
PUMP SOME IRON IN YOUR RED CORPUSCLES
WOMEN LIKE THEIR MEN WITH LOTS OF MUSCLE
VERSE TWO
Here's the stuff I hear you say, and (it's driving me away) it drives the girls away
You'll simply go insane, you won't last another day
You can't live without her (me), gotta' drown your sorrows
Facing a string of black tomorrows
CHORUS
BRIDGE
You can't play her (my) sympathy and still be strong
If you show her (me) that you're man enough for love you can't go wrong
you can't go wrong
PUMP SOME IRON IN YOUR RED CORPUSCLES
WOMEN LIKE THEIR MEN WITH LOTS OF MUSCLE (end in round and fade)
