This is a repost from last spring. It's the first thing John, Mike and I did as the Off Band. It's meant to sound like a late 60's rock band with obscure lyrics. It was recorded in 3 sections and I had production problems with the third section. The lyric content was inspired by a documentary I watched about stolen plutonium. The thought of that scares the heck out of me and the lyrics were written to reflect that.
Drink it in lifes a bottle of gin
Drink it up you can never get enough
So high you'll think that you can fly
So high you think you'll touch the sky
Drink it down until you're underground
Drink it in until the bitter end
So high you'll think that you can fly
So high you think you'll touch the sky
Got our start in the secret garden
Bit the apple to the core
The tree of knowledge our beggars college
satan showed us to the door
We built our nations and civilizations
Made with blood and sweat and gore
Sophomoric fools built platonium tools
Now we're in the secret garden once more
Drink it in until the bitter end
Drink it dry kiss your ash goodbye
So high you'll think that you can fly
So high you think you'll touch the sky
