Cobwebs & Dust
Casey, Duhon @2012
Vocals by Jameson Rodgers
I got some things in a wooden crate that I keep up in the attic
Stuff that was a big part of my life
Dad’s old guitar, my comic books, and that varsity jacket
Now they’re just memories of another place and time
I'll now the one thing that I always knew
Is I’d never add that picture of you
Whatever happened to the light flashing from your eyes
Where’s that glowing smile that I’ve been missing so much
How could what I treasure most in my life
End up under cobwebs and dust
I took this photo in Savannah Georgia, that red dress always brought good luck You said that sunrise was the start of our new life
Them 12 hours on 95 South flew by right before us
Man how things have changed so much since that honeymoon night
Road has gotten rough, we’re running on fumes
And I’m left talking to this picture of you
Life’s an album of snapshots, one memory at a time
I’m wishing it was one long video, so I could just hit rewind
I’d go back and find that light flashing from your eyes
Just to hear that laugh that I’ve been missing so much
How could what I treasure most in my life
End up under cobwebs and dust
