Erik Hodges songs
I can't pretend to know what Kurt Cobains's last words were, but I suspect they might have been someting like this, given what we know about his life and times. I miss his music but not his lifestyle, or his choices.
Gonna have to build myself a wall
sit and see how long it takes to fall
'cause I know there'll be some fatal flaw to send it crashing down
'cause every thing I build, every thing I touch, everything I start
falls to the ground
Gonna try to build myself a bridge
a mile long I'll build it inch by inch
and half way across the water I know I'll have to swim
'cause every thing I touch, every thing I build, every thing I start
I make too thin
Gonna take a trip all by myself
try to lose this cold and find my health
'cause I know I'm gonna catch my death one of these sunny days
'cause every thing I touch, every thing I build, every thing I start
puts me away
Gonna have a baby to call mine
I'm gonna give it all my love, give it all my time
and then I'll watch it wither in spite of all my toil
'cause everything I build, everything I touch, everything I start
just starts to spoil
