The story (inspiration) behind our song “This Is My Church”:
Last year my wife and I went to Nashville to see Carrie Underwood at the Grand Ole Opry, (The Ryman). Like most Opry shows they sometimes have unexpected guests. That night it was Vince Gill. He had just stopped by after a hockey game and was dressed in his sweats and said he thought he would stop by and sing a song. He took a deep breath and said he loved the Ryman, loved its history and great acoustics.
He paused and said “This is my church”.

After the show we went back to our hotel and my wife started writing lyrics. She gave them to me late that night and on the plane the next day I started writing the music. Finished it late the next day and made arrangements to get a demo cut. At a little over 5 minutes it will never be a radio hit, but we love to listen to it, Hope you will too. Thanks to Gina West of Nashville for the lead vocals.
