This is a fresh vocal arrangement of an old song of mine. The theme is of lost love, but to a fame and fortune, (not another man)! I thought some additional harmony and bv's would give it a new feel.
All vocals by me, bass and keyboards, Sam Moore, pedal steel, Roy Campbell, and all guitars, Joe Ryan.

Just Like We Did Back Then, (The Radio)
I begged for you to stay, but still you went away
And I’m left here to play, my lonesome melody
You said you had to go, to sing on the radio.
But why, I just don’t know. When we sang so beautifully.
So I turn on the radio, in my lonely room
Waiting for our songs to play, right here in the gloom
And when the music starts, and I hear your voice again
I have to sing along with you, just like we did back then
We sang so sweet and true, together, me and you
I can’t believe we’re through, is there no more harmony
I know you’re on your way, but please come home one day
Till then, I’ll hope and pray, that our love will always be
So I’ll turn on the radio, in my lonely room
Waiting for our songs to play, right here in the gloom
And when the music starts, and I hear your voice again
I can sing along with you, just like we did back then
Yes I’ll just sing along with you, just like we did back then.
