I guess it was going to be inevitable that my next song would be a little philosophical. When I checked the lyrics on the page, they looked very bleak, so I decided to give the song a rock treatment, and enlisted the help of my friend and local young guitar player, Gary Walsh.
All guitars, Gary. All vocals and other instruments, me.
DESTINY
We don’t have long, and then we’re gone. ‘Cos soon you’re just, little specks of dust.
There’s not much time, to live our lives. So can we see, our dest ….in……ee.
1st verse
We never know how life works out, or how long we are here.
So let’s make the most of the time we’ve got. Soon it will all disappear.
Can we control what happens to us? Is it just down to fate?
Let’s not waste our time, do something worthwhile. You know it will soon be too late.
Chorus
We don’t have long, and then we’re gone. ‘Cos soon you’re just, little specks of dust.
There’s not much time, to live our lives. So can we see, our dest ….in……ee.
2nd Verse
Some people are tough, others give love. I guess it’s all in our genes.
Whatever we’re like, it’s just not enough, we all try to follow our dreams.
Each one of us is born with a gift, just waiting to be unearthed.
And when you do, just make sure you, use it for all that you’re worth.
Chorus
