This is the last song that I'll be uploading for quite some time. Dale and I are talking about doing some more stuff together, so maybe in the, not too distant, future ther'll be more.
This song was written and recorded by Alex Rossitto and myself. It is the song I am most disappointed in from a vocal standpoint. I had bronchitis when we did the vocals. You can hear that I have trouble sustaining notes and I found that you can't make an instant flip into falsetto when your head is stuffed up. lol
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the message of the song and I look forward to hearing more of your songs in the future. Keep writing!
Starving children on the TV
Hopelessness filling their eyes
Homeless people walking by me
Breaks your heart. It makes you cry
We say somebody's gotta help them
There must be something that someone else can do
But still we wrestle with our weakness when the Lord says
Why not you
See the widow on the corner
You know she doesn't have enough
And broken souls filling our prisons
need to know that they're still loved
We say somebody's gotta help them
There must be something someone else can do
Still we struggle with conviction when the Lord says
Why not you
He never said it would be easy
but Jesus strengthens us for what He's called us to
I want to stand up and be counted
When Jesus asks me
Child, why not you
Everyday we see our families
but do we share the gift of life
What about our friends who work beside us
We need to tell them while there's still time
"Cause we're the ones who've gotta help them
We need to share that gift given me and you
We need to answer Yes, Lord when we hear Him calling
Why not you
Are we gonna answer Yes, Lord when we hear Him calling
Why not you
Why not you, yeah, Why not you
