I’m caught  between the  closet  - and the front door

My man’s about to scream, oh he ain’t laughing anymore

Everything seemed fine, until he set the date

The 'do' was at nine and now it's ten and we're late

I stare into the mirror feeling desperate and alone!

I’ve searched my whole wardrobe with a fine-tooth comb

Should I phone a friend to bring me something to loan

Oh I have nothing to wear! So now I’m staying at home!!

It must have been the washing that effected the shrinking

Note : I sometimes do what I call motivational entertainment - at Ladies' functions/cocktail parties/bridal showers etc... a bit of talking and some of my songs inbetween. So, I write quite a few songs about girls' issues - which are very universal. I love to keep it tongue in cheek and enjoy this kind of work immensely.
