Grandma looked at grandpaas he milked the last dairy cow.His shirt was sticking to his bodyand he wiped off sweat that was on his brow.

They werent well-known at all,but in my eyes they were ten feet tall.They knew what they had made:things that can never fade.

Grandpa first, then grandma,died just fourteen days apart.They said the second was pneumonia;I have always thought  of a broken heart.

I smile at the memry of their years.And I give a laugh as I sing through tears:
