About 2 years ago when I had a job, I used the services of "Studio Pros", a company in LA because I could not actualize the vision I had of this song.

I uploaded my acoustic guitar, scat vocal demo done in my livingroom to them,

and over the course of a week or two they added bass, keys, guitar, and drums.

I am just getting around to finishing the project by adding my vocals with actual lyrics, and a flute section. I should probably play the flute more than once every three years or so, and have gotten some "music minus one" CDs to do just that.

I just uploaded the vocal/flute tracks to Studio Pros friday, and should have a rough mix back today. What we have here is my livingroom vocal and flute mixed in by yours truly, and I will be the first to admit I don't know what I am doing from a technical stand point, but just fiddle with eq, compressors, reverb, until I "think" I have a decent sound. 

I have gone back many times after a mix session and said, "what the hell was I listening to!" :) Hopefully this is not one of those.
