I retuned the acoustic 12 string to a DADGAD tuning, started playing and this was the result.

Things that I Get Done

It used to be when I was young

I moved so fast I got things done my way

Now I just dont have the go

Seems Im moving slower every day

I just cant get back on the pace

It feels like Im running in place

Theres so many things to do

But I sit here with a brew and contemplate

The things that are important I get done

All the other things can wait

Ill save them for another day

Right now Ill pick up my guitar and play

Thats okay

Contemplation, motivation, my salvation

Recreation, avoid temptation, love this nation

I know Im not the only one

Life is good I cant complain

Theres more sunshine than there is rain each day

Got me a wife that I love

Got great kids and to God above I pray

Theres no sense in looking back
