Ancient songs
This is just to prove I was sappy around the turn of the century too, when this song was recorded with my daughter, Tracy. It's kind of a muddy sound and the lyric really isn't structured very well but my heart was in it.
In the center of my heart there is a place
Built and designed by you
In the center of my heart a perfect space
Known only by a few
And when the world is whirling and my life is whirling too
I think of you in the center of my heart
In the center of my heart I'll let you go
But I don't deserve your grace
In the center of my heart you only know
That's where I see your face
And when I'm sad and tired and nothing here seems new
I think of you in the center of my heart
In the center of my heart you are the key
To all of my other joys
In the center of my heart there'll always be
Silence amid the noise
And all of those who love me and those that I love too
Will know there's you in the center of my heart
