This is another song from the 12-Step album. A "trigger" is any person, place, or thing which can cause a relapse for a recovering alcoholic/addict. 

That Trigger

Spent most my life starin’ down the barrel of a gun

Hypnotized by the bullets in that chamber

Feeling scared and helpless, like a rabbit on the run

Held in your grip so long I can’t remember

Now I’m finally finding my way out

And I’m learning what freedom is about

So...

And I ain’t gonna play your game

I won’t live another lie

I’m not gonna walk your road

This is where we say goodbye

I’m not gonna be your friend

I’ll no longer play your fool

I’m placing my faith is something bigger

And I won’t wrap my finger back around that trigger

I’ve been caught-up in a tangled web with no way to break free

Living like a slave to my addictions

And I’ve learned that nothing’s stronger than the drug of self-deceit

For I’ve done my part to add to these afflictions

But now I’m finally seein’ some hope

Finding grace at the end of this rope
