Oh I feel so good today
But my life hasn't always been this way
Oh some lives are full of light
and others are just struggling to get by
 
You can be a light in the rubble
When you reach out your hand
Helping out in times of trouble
Removes the weight from the heart of a weary man
As he searches to find his place
Through God's saving grace
You can shine light in the rubble
 
Oh I wish to help today
Some poor soul who's lost trying to find their way
If I could shed just a little light
I'd try to brighten a path in this ol' life
