I'm very happy to have this song on my page after being asked by the song's author to post it for the Holidays . Written by Angyalka Oszkar, this lovely story has none of the usual Oszkar elements...no one gets killed, no reindeer get drunk, no farting...just very sappy, which I love.
Words by Angyalka Oszkar
Ice and Ike
The snowflakes, they were all a-buzz
In sector ninety-seven
A blessed Christmas miracle
A wondrous gift from heaven
There’s pride in snowflake history
It’s written in their pages
For no two ever were alike
Not once throughout the ages
Identical twins, identical twins
Flurry and Squall had identical twins!
Stop the presses, shout the news
For once, some flakes have come in twos
One’s named Ice, the other Ike
And those two snowflakes ARE alike
Identical twins, identical twins
Flurry and Squall had identical twins
They’re perfect matching crystal forms
Twelve points of joy and wonder
Who shook the tranquil world of clouds
Like claps of heavy thunder
They’re hand-in-hand on Christmas day
No flakes have been as pretty
So look and try to catch a glimpse
As they float above your city
You may have heard what once was said,
That no two snowflakes are alike
But now you know the story’s changed,
With history made by Ice and Ike
Identical twins, identical twins
Flurry and Squall had identical twins!
Stop the presses, shout the news
For once, some flakes have come in twos
One’s named Ice, the other Ike
And those two snowflakes ARE alike
Identical twins, identical twins
Flurry and Squall had identical twins
