            Mo Goose Blues

Once upon a long long time
Someone got the blues in a nursery rhyme
It happened a long time ago in a place where Mother Goose never goes
And they walked away from the garden,
They walked all the way to the Promise Land

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
The Eggman had a nasty fall
The ugly duck turned into a swan,
she winked, he blinked and they were gone
And they walked away from the garden,
They walked all the way to the Promise Land

A pied piper came and blew 'em a song
they started dancing around and singing along
they did not hear the rain coming down
then the goose that layed the golden egg was gone

Jack and Jill went up the hill 
to fetch a pale of fire
Jack came down and a baby was born
another angel for the choir
and they walked away from the garden
they walked all the way to the Promiseland
