This was an impromtu jam session one summer in Avalon Catalina at the infamous Chi Chi Club. I lived there for a few years as an 18 year old drummer hired into a jazz trio with two old dudes, Dave Livsey on piano and Marshall Brown on bass who actually bought the club. That summer 3 or 4  old New Orleans horn players came over on their boats to spend a week jamming at our gig. I only recall the name of the sax player - Lloyd Saaba.  We actually played in the old Casino too. It's amazing that somebody recorded it.
