Hello everyone. As some of you know, we Oszkars usually write songs by reading the news and making it to rhyme. Sometimes Songramp people think the songs come out funny. This new song is not like that. It is from imagination, not the news. And it is not funny. I do not know of where you live, but in Vac we have trees with leaves that turn to bright and beautiful colors like fire in October. But then winter rain comes and turns everything to gray. I imagine this is like a fiery and torrid (that is my new word from last week) romance that burns intensely but then dies out. Miklos and I speak of making the song a polka, but Miklos has had some troubles lately (see the last song we post, Til Beth Do Us Part), and so I think maybe it is a singer-songwriter song. And then I think to ask Mr. Michael Frazier to make a lovely song from my lyric words, because he is so amazing at this type of song. Please to enjoy.
October Rain
Lyric words by Istvan Oszkar of Istvan and the Oszkars
Music and lovely performance by Michael Frazier
Autumn colours burn like fire
It's your beauty I desired
Orange and yellow, red so bright
Loving you, it seemed so right
But then it rained
It all has turned to gray
Oh, October rain
The colours wash away
In an icy rain
I plead with you, but you won't stay
Oh, October rain
Leaves have fallen to the ground
Torn and sodden, lifeless brown
The northern wind has set its course
It roars along without remorse
And then it rains
It all has turned to gray
Oh, October rain
The colours wash away
In an icy rain
I plead with you, but you won't stay
Oh, October rain
The gutters fill with autumn shades
Ashes now, my passion fades…away
For when it rains
It all just turns to gray
Oh, October rain
The colours wash away
In an icy rain
I plead with you, but you won't stay
Oh, October rain
