Istvan Oszkar songs
Hello to all! This is my entry in the Oszkars' Christmas Song Lyric Words competition that Istvan has started. Last week Odon posted his song with Mr. JamesCain, "All's Well at Christmas." I am very good fortune because I have written ever lyric words for two Christmas song, and they were made to songs by two of my very favorite Songramp people. Last year it was "Rudolph Loved the Ladies (and Rudolph Loved the Rum)" with Mr. Rusty Blake. This year my song is about the famous fight between Santa and Frosty. I know you are thinking "but Miklos, this has been done so many time already." This is true, but with Mr. GrumpHarmony's help I hope to have something new to say about this incident. Mr. Grump even put a nice little surprise at the end of the song. Please to enjoy!
Santa’s Fighting Frosty
Lyric words by Miklos Kozma
Music and performing by Bob Pompei (GrumpHarmony)
‘twas a cold night in December
At a lonely northern bar
The details few remember
But someone went too far
Was it a joke about ol’ Prancer?
Did someone say he smelled?
We’ll never know the answer,
But we know what Cratchit yelled:
Santa’s fighting Frosty and he isn’t fighting fair
His evil elves are with him and they’re swarming everywhere
Santa’s fighting Frosty and he’s kicking Frosty’s ice
It's ho-ho-ho ho-horrible when the jolly man’s not nice
‘tho Frosty once had magic
When he wore his special hat
That evening things turned tragic
Because Santa knocked him flat
His carrot nose went flying
And he broke a tree-branch arm
Mr. Scrooge was crying
When he called out his alarm:
Santa’s fighting Frosty like a tank of CO2
I think he knows karate and I’m sure he knows kung fu
Santa’s fighting Frosty and destruction is his goal
He kneed him in the snowballs and crushed his lumps of coal
Santa’s fists were pounding
He pummeled without stop
And then poor Frosty was no more
They wrung him from the mop
Please don’t mess with Santa
When whiskey’s on his breath
The only gift he’ll bring to you
Is a violent winter’s death
Santa fought with Frosty and no one knows just why
He never gave a reason and he had no alibi
Santa fought with Frosty, and though it isn’t right
His friends up at the North Pole refuse to extradite
Santa fought with Frosty on a cold night long ago
Let’s raise a glass to Frosty when we see the year’s first snow
