I was driving south for the winter on I35
I used a flock of birds flying south as my tour guide
They landed on the roof of this old bar that was just inside the border
I parked my truck and walked on in to place me an order

The only gringo in Laredo still standing at the bar
The only word I know is hola that wont get me very far
I heard somebody say tequila that sounded pretty good to me
The only gringo in Laredo I guess the first rounds on me

Thats when I saw a pretty senorita smiling  at me
I stumbled over I could hardly feel my feet
She said something to me in Spanish it sounded like she said amor
I said hola tequila then they brought me one more
