Rusty Spurr is a figment of my imagination(or vice-a-versa)
The Dusty Chaps Band consists of me, myself & I and hired hands kind enough to help me out with their talent on my demos.

I wrote this two years ago. I was walking out my back door, I reached down to pick something up and the line "someone dropped your name" popped right of my head. I went right to my little studio out back of the house, pickup up the guitar and went to writing. This is how it eventually ended up. Another one of my typical home recordings. Drum tracks from my friend Steve Namle in Sacramento via internet. Hope this song is enjoyed and thanks for the listen. Jim
Someone Dropped Your Name Last Night - (c) 2008 Jim Durall
V1
Someone dropped your name last night and you should have seen my face
I thought my heart would start to pound, like a runner in a race
Your someone I would dream about more often than I let on
When someone dropped your name last night, I tried to drown the dawn
V2
Someone dropped your name last night and it skipped just like a stone
It hit me in my chest and I could feel it in my throat
Your someone I would dream about more often than I let on
When someone dropped your name last night, I tried to drown the dawn
Bridge
Would someone please explain to me how love can be so strange
Why someone with a dream to chase would let the dream escape
Would someone please explain to me so I can understand
Why love would deal me in the game but not with a winning hand
V3
Someone dropped your name last night, like they won you in a game
I walked out into the night with the echos of your name
Your someone I would dream about more often than I let on
When someone dropped your name last night, I tried to drown the dawn
When someone dropped your name last night, I tried to drown the dawn
