Rusty Spurr is a figment of my imagination(or vice-a-versa)
The Dusty Chaps Band consists of me, myself & I and hired hands kind enough to help me out with their talent on my demos.

Originally written in the early 70's, Made a couple of small lyric changes a few years ago. This song was posted a couple of weeks ago. After some comments, I messed around with some different mixes a bit and retitled. This is the result. Raised vox 1 a bit, lowered the kick a bit and lowered the bass track. The vocals are now more present. Note: I like my vocals "in the band" rather than "up front". I think this is a much better mix and am satisfied with the result. Thanks for the comments that gave me the nudge. Thanks for any listens and/or relistens. Jim

V1
Well, the bartender, he cut me off last night
He said I'd had enough to drink all right
Well I said that wasn't true, I'm not drunk I've got the blues
'Cause she's gone and left me emptier than a song without a tune
V2
I remember a girl came up to me
The dance was lady's choice, and she asked me
So I tried a step or two, but I could only think of you
One more drink please bartender, I swear one more will do
Chorus
'Cause empty is the love that has brought me here tonight
And a glass of good whiskey couldn't even make it right
So bartender drown my sorrow, let me have another one
'Cause she's gone and left me emptier than the bottle that I drunk
V3
Then the juke box started playin' our old song
And the lover's started dancin' right along
So I played it one more time and we were dancin' in my mind
One more drink please bartender, one more if you'd be so kind
'Chorus/out
