Rusty Spurr is a figment of my imagination(or vice-a-versa)
The Dusty Chaps Band consists of me, myself & I and hired hands kind enough to help me out with their talent on my demos.

Wrote this song originally in the early to mid '70s and rewrote slightly a few years ago.  Hope this song is enjoyed and thanks for the listen.

V1

Now I don't go out, too often anymore

I still feel lonely on that crowded dance floor

I sit around at home now and I pour me somethin' smooth

Oh I bought me a bottle of good Kentucky brew

Chorus

Oh that Kentucky whiskey, can't cure the blues

But it helps me forget you

V2

Well it's been quite a while since you walked on out the door

I'm still feelin' low and I'm thinkin' of you more

Well a friend called up said come on out, I got a date for you

Oh I told him 'bout my bottle of good Kentucky brew

Chorus

Bridge

Yes I know just what to do, when I don't know what to do

Just grab me that bottle of good Kentucky brew

Solo

V3

There's still whiskey in the bottle, still an achin' in my heart

I'm still missin' you I'm just wishin' on a star

I'll roll another number and I'll have another toke or two

And I'll polish off that bottle, good Kentucky brew

Chorus

Repeat  Chorus/out
