Jon Hanson songs
I had been tuning on this for a year or so, but missed last Christmas. I got together with Greg Fritsch after I heard what he did with his song Angels Hand and we came up with a melody and then sent our guitar demo to Frank Michels' in Nashville.

You know every Christmas there’s a story I recall
About a little boy named Tommy standing in line
to see me when I was Santa at the mall
[singing]
Eight years old already on the road to being quite man
He was on a mission his voice cracked as he began:
Cindy’s my big sister, Santa and you know I love her so
She’s awfully sick and getting sumpthin’ my momma call’s chemo
SANTA I KNOW EVERYONE WANTS SOMETHING FROM YOU
BUT, FORGET ABOUT MY TOYS AND THAT BICYCLE TOO
BECAUSE FOR ME THERE’S ONLY ONE GIFT| IN THIS WORLD WORTHWHILE
ALL I’M ASKING FROM YOU SANTA IS MAKE CINDY SMILE
I walked into the hospital carrying a little pink bear
A loving family had gathered 'round Cindy in prayer
Her mom and dad said they needed a miracle from God
I thought of Tommy’s words—and wept knowing Cindy's odds
Repeat Chorus
Bridge:
One year later I see a young girl in line with a little pink bear
I had to fight real hard to hold back my tears
Sometimes the faith of a child is exactly what we need
That was the year the children made Santa believe
