Sometimes you write a song and then try to "love up to" or live up to its promise or story. Four years ago in a song about my daughter, Paige, I wrote: "High school graduation, first car, my college degree. My friends and family were always there for me" I wrote this song in "my daughters voice."

Paige will be seventeen in April, she has already completed a quarter of college at Ohio University and got a full scholarship. She graduates High School in a few months. I told her if she got the scholarship her Mom and I would get her a car (she had an old Ford Ranger).

The picture is her this morning being surprised with her car. Her brother is home from the service for a week and took her over to "look" at cars, we were waiting to surprise her. Our whole family still uses this 'Three Squeeze' communication, even now as the kids are 17 and 21. Life is good.
