Jon Hanson songs
Sometimes you ned the blues, sometimes a ballad, but sometimes you just need to rock (I hardly ever need to rap, but I'm gonna try it soon). I had this little riff follow me around all last week, daaa-da-dat-dut-da-daa. Usually for me words come first this time a melody (or a part of one). I had a hook line I was heading to: The Only Thing I Like Straight is You. So at a stop light I was singing and banging on the wheel, I like some whiskey in my coke...I like...I like....

We tried blues with the riff but it wouldn't play then we tried a little 3 chord shuffle and then Southern Rock over and over and here is what we came up with. Now my pen has written a check my vocal-butt can't cover, but we can find someone to sing it. If you are the big dog blues-rock guy that should be singing this send me a site-mail. This is what Dale and I came up with and after he put in the fills it was kind of fun, also slipped a C in for D heading into line 5.
