ande rasmussen songs
Tommy Byrd and I wrote "You Rolled On" in 1999 after being inspired and amazed by how Lance Armstrong recovered from testicular cancer then won his first Tour de France. He went on to win 5 total and is now going for his 6th. "You Rolled On" helped raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and is dedicated to people fighting cancer and cancer survivors across the world. My mother is one of them.

You Rolled On
Words and Music by Tommy Byrd and Anders Rasmussen
Verse 1
I've never met you still I know who you are
Like a light that shines from a distant star
The night could never over shadow you
There was something brighter inside you
And you showed the world how far you could go
Chorus
When you rolled on
and the road was rough
You rolled on
could have said that's enough
But you kept going on
Your heart is strong
And you rolled on
Verse 2
More than a winner you're hero of hope
Reaching out beyond the end of your rope
The deepest valley couldn't hold you down
You stood to fight for higher ground
And you showed the world how far we can go
Chorus Repeat
Bridge
The road was never too long
Chorus Repeat
