RIP EARL LOAR  September 2018
Earl Loar was such a character, no doubt he will be missed.  I went to meeting with him at a recording studio once and he showed up in all plaid wearing white socks and flip-flops.  Seemed like a good song title so I spent all of 7 minutes on it and had a guy on Fiverr to record it.  I think this was about the time Earl was working on Big Water and those type of songs.  He said no one ever wrote a song about him, and I said, thats unlikely, they probably just never told you.  

He will be missed.  I think his song Old Cowboy was one of his best, assisted mightily by Dale Crocketts great guitar work.  It was Earl that introduced me to Dale Crockett and that was where I learned song writing.  

Goodbye Old Cowboy.
